Conservation: Scott Mansfield
"A wandering nature artist, I do not seek adventure for the sake of thrill, I seek a balance found in the way of nature, using an artist’s eye and a nomad’s heart. My primary medium is photography, and although it’s a perfect recording tool, I care little about showing you the simple ornamental beauty of a place or the reality of the scene. My aim is to show you something more, to convey a feeling and a sense of what it felt like to be there. I want to show you what I thought, not what I saw."

"My aim is to translate my experiences to photographs, to illuminate the world and share the awe and curiosity I feel in nature."
Above is Scott Mansfield's website. Also, the top photo is his too. I really liked how organized and the subject matter he chose to photograph. He photographs everywhere like northwest, sierra, and southwest. Most of his work are in black and white, but he does do a little of color. He hikes to find the perfect photos. On his website, he also has his journal/blog. Mansfield is based out of San Francisco California. The picture of the street was taken in the southwest. The first and last photos were taken in the northwest. I really like the first photo. It stood out because of the repetition of the trees and branches. It is very unique because of the angle. The view is like looking up at trees on the ground.
