Top 6 Photos/ Critique of Work Guideline
Top 6:
Farm: This picture is in the top 6 because it has many examples of line composition.
Your eyes move with the road and I really think it is interesting.
Street:This picture also has good line composition. You can also see the textures on
the road and the little bit of grass too. I really like there is one part of the
road that is actually very clear while everything else is blurry for the effect.
I used the Marco tool to create this.
shadow:I believe this is definitely one of the best photos because it was a team effort
to create the perfect letters to spell the word. This uses shadows very well. I
took this picture at a softball with some of the softball moms. I am very proud
of this picture
portrait:This portrait is in my top 6 because it is very interesting and funny to me. The
photo also shows personality.
dogs:I love this photo. I took this during the blizzard. The left side of picture I
filtered it on Instagram and the right is the natural picture. I really like my
dogs 'appearance in the snow.

I wrote about Hannah Kennedy's sunset at the beach photograph. The photo is at
the beach with three different groups throughout in different depths of field.
The colors make the picture stand out. The colors are dark blue and light
yellow.
The sunset colors are gorgeous . The contrast in the colors are very good (dark blue vs. light yellow). The different depths of field help the person viewing the photo, see the entire picture. You
can see the people in the background. This shows distance. There is also balance
with the different groups of people at the beach. The negative space in the
beach have the darker colors. I believe this is really original and creative.
The colors from a far makes the photo standout. The subject of the beach is very
compelling. It makes you want to look at all the details.
The feeling the photograph gives off is very calm and peaceful because the sun is setting right before it turns night. The picture is very soft with the help of the colors. You can see the detail in
the grooves in the sand. The sky matches the sand because of the reflection. You
can also see a little bit of the water. Just nit picking, maybe getting a little
closer to the first group (closest group)in the foreground to improve the photo.
I really like the three different groups throughout the photo. Overall I really
enjoyed the photo!
