Spooky/Night
These are some of my night photos. I added the before and after editing photos. I really dislike my pictures this week. I found it difficult to find a good subject matter. When we were assigned night I thought of darkness rather than the actually nightime. Most of the light sources are the sky, windows, or street lights. I took some when it was completely dark and others at sunset. I didnt want the light source to be the main subject to look at. I wanted it to be secondary. All were taken at my house while the lock and locker was taken at school. The blue type window was also taken at school. I wanted the pictures to be protrayed as mysterious and some peaceful.
Scary Story in order
The story I chose was about a teacher who eats his students. It is similar to Hannibal Lector. I tried to take each picture where some light was. I edited them all with Instagram filters. The lock, knife, and door pictures I wanted to show shadows to represent the teacher and add effect to the horror. I wanted to frame the pictures by angles. I didn't want an object to be in the center. I also wanted to have the objects in regular setting and not make it look staged. Most of the items are angled in the photos. Most of the pictures are literal, but I added mystery in them too. I think the filtering was successful in my illustrations. If I could anything different, I would take pictures at school instead of my house. Maybe for improvement, we the photographers discuss with the story writers.
